Nico Rosberg

The 2016 Formula 1 world champion has been active in the venture capital scene for some time. Now he is taking the next step and has set up his first VC fund. This is a special variant of a fund. Rosberg Ventures is what is known as a fund of funds. In simple terms, this means that the fund does not invest the capital raised in individual start-ups, but rather in other VC funds. This results in an extremely diversified portfolio. The vehicle's partners include Andreesen Horowitz, Kleiner Perkins and Khosla Ventures. Rosberg has raised a total of 75 million euros from investors.

Mario Götze

The Eintracht Frankfurt footballer has invested in the start-up Flatpay. The company has raised 45 million euros in its Series B financing round, supported by other well-known investors such as Dawn Capital and Seed Capital.

Flatpay is revolutionizing payments for small and medium-sized businesses by simplifying card payments and eliminating hidden costs and fees. The company's innovative pricing model offers a simple flat rate for all cards, with no monthly subscriptions for their point-of-sale and payment solutions.

The athlete is also investing in the start-up Light. With a fresh approach to managing multinational finances, Light has secured 13 million euros in a seed financing round. Investors such as Atomico, Cherry Ventures and Seedcamp led the round.

Light relies on a state-of-the-art database architecture and integrated artificial intelligence to automate financial processes. The startup enables companies to efficiently process billions of transactions, from converting PDFs to full tax reporting - all without manual effort.

Götze is also backing Helical, a company that has raised 2.2 million euros in fresh capital. Other investors include Frst, BoxGroup and Creator Fund.

Helical's mission is to build the first open-source platform that gives researchers, biologists and developers access to bio-foundation models. This platform makes it possible to develop applications that accelerate drug development. By combining science and technology, Helical creates new opportunities for medical research and brings a disruptive approach to biotechnology.

Most recently, he invested in the Munich-based start-up CyberDesk, which specializes in minimizing data risks and optimizing identity and access management. Backed by other investors such as Possible Ventures and TKM, CyberDesk offers a comprehensive solution that ensures that the right identities receive the right access at the right time.

By mapping access rights across systems, CyberDesk enables the adaptive implementation of the least privilege principle. This leads to more efficient controls, automated risk prevention and simplified management of identity lifecycles. Regardless of whether internal or external users, machines, applications or services are involved.

Bastian Schweinsteiger

The former national soccer player has invested in Parloa. The start-up, in which Mario Götze is also involved, secured 62 million euros in the Series B round. The round was led by renowned investors such as Altimeter Capital, EQT Ventures and La Famiglia Growth.

Parloa has established itself as one of the leading SaaS platforms in the field of Conversational AI. Its goal is to develop the most comprehensive solution that enables companies worldwide to significantly improve their communication with customers. Parloa pursues this vision with the highest technical standards, innovative leadership and a strong commitment from every team member to redefine the future of customer communication.

Mischa Zverev

The company Movmenta benefits from an investment by former tennis player Mischa Zverev. Movmenta specializes in the development of unique sensor technologies for runners. The groundbreaking solution measures the change in the cushioning properties of shoe soles over time. This technology enables runners to improve their performance in a targeted manner while minimizing the risk of injury in the long term. In addition to his role as a shareholder, Zverev will also support the company as an advisor.
